Monthly Meeting for June
Former Shrewsbury Chronicle editor, John Butterworth, MBE, will be talking about editing the UK’s fourth oldest weekly paper to members of Shrewsbury U3A at Theatre Severn on Monday June 15 at 10.30am.
He will talk about the fascinating history of the Shrewsbury Chronicle over eight different Kings and Queens of the UK as he tells of the eccentric stories, events and advertisements in this paper which started in 1772.
