The Retirement Opportunity
Retirement opens the door to rediscovering passions, exploring new interests, and building friendships. Shrewsbury u3a provides a welcoming environment for hundreds of people to engage in enriching experiences throughout their retirement years. While most members have retired from full-time work, many join in the lead-up to retirement as part of their lifestyle transition.
Overview of the u3a
Founded in 1992, Shrewsbury’s u3a is part of a nationwide mutual self-help movement. It’s open to everyone, regardless of educational background or previous experience. The aim is to offer social, recreational as well as educational, opportunities for those no longer in full-time employment. Our motto is: “Learn, Laugh and Live (life to the full).”
