This group is for those of us who would like to breathe life back into "old" mechanical mantle clocks - we are hobbyists not professional clock repairers and we learn knowledge and skills from and with each other. You do not need to have lots of tools or a workshop - just a wish to have fun and experience the joy of hearing a broken clock ticking again

Pendulum clocks, whether spring or weight driven, can be tackled but those with balance wheel escapements where the escapement mechanism is damaged are beyond our capability.
